Youngsters from three Drumchapel schools have had their artwork turned into a community calendar for 2012.
Staff at the GHA Drumchapel office invited pupils from local schools to submit drawings for a calendar competition.
And they were bowled over by the standard of entries from the kids aged 5 to 11.
After a tough job, they finally chose the winning 12 from St Clare’s, Antonine and Camstradden primaries. Their drawings now star in the calendar which has been distributed to local people through the schools and the housing office.
The artwork features a range of drawings from the seasons throughout the year.
All the winning youngsters, their parents and teachers were invited into the housing office in Dalsetter Crescent for a presentation. Each of the winners received a £20 voucher and all three schools were given a £50 donation to their Parent Teacher Association.
Housing Operations Manager Karen McLaughlin said: "We work closely with the Drumchapel community throughout the year but we really wanted to do something with youngsters from the area, many of whom live in our homes.
"The calendar competition was very popular and we were amazed at the quality of the art. We’re delighted the children’s great work will be on show in homes for the whole of 2012."
The winners were:
St Clare’s – Kyle Riches, Abbie Taylor, Hannah Gangel, Yascah Amer
Antonine – Faith Lewis, Taylor Fletcher, Kenzie Moir
Camstradden - Kaylah Mckee, Caitlin Gamble, Elle Frew, Rebecca Riley, Amylee Hutchinson.
