Leading solutions distributor SDG has been awarded the prizes for ‘Best Distributor Centre of Excellence EMEA’ and ‘Best Distributor Increase in Productivity UK, Ireland, South Africa’ at the prestigious Citrix Select Conference 2011.
Europe’s largest independent specialist technology distributor was recognised for its strong performance at a packed ceremony in Portugal earlier this month. The company, which through its subsidiary IQ-Sys picked up a major prize at the ceremony for the fifth year running, was praised by judges for beating the economic downturn to record another successful year.
“Clearly the entire group is delighted to have won these awards. Winning for the fifth year running is an acknowledgement of the desire, effort and work ethic of the IQ-sys and extended SDG team, and underlines the validity of a growth strategy that supports and enables resellers around best of breed technologies,” said Sarah Deller, SDG Business Unit Director for Software.
“Our success is directly related to the long established relationships we've developed with the reseller community. By working side-by-side with these partners we've enabled them to create more successful Citrix solutions and resolve more end user customer IT challenges than ever before.”
The awards recognise a proven track record of value delivery and industry leading distribution capabilities. It also reinforces SDG’s unmatched Citrix market strength.
James Stevenson, Area Vice-President for UK, Ireland, South Africa commented: “SDG and IQ-Sys continue to be an integral part of the Citrix channel ecosystem, delivering innovative solutions to the reseller community. With concepts such as desktop virtualisation, consumerisation and cloud computing now at the forefront of the market, these awards are in recognition of IQ-Sys’ ability to adapt and thrive in a particularly challenging economic environment.”
Paul Eccleston, Managing Director for SDG EMEA, commented: “Once again, our strategy of retaining the specialist expertise of our individual business units, while at the same time making it easier for resellers to access solutions for both them and their customers through a single entity, has been underlined by these awards.
“The explosion of growth around application, desktop and server virtualisation continues unabated, and IQ-Sys has a key role to play in helping resellers to encompass all of that complexity and match it with an understanding of their customer’s needs, delivering back a best of breed Citrix solution.”
