Dunfermline's new sports and leisure centre opened its doors for the first time last weekend.
Everyone will now get the chance to see inside the stunning new Carnegie Leisure Centre and have a look at the results of the spectacular refurbishment.
Carnegie is the first of three in Fife to be completed as part of the Future of Leisure programme which, when complete, will have seen the council invest £55 million in three new facilities in Dunfermline, Glenrothes and Kirkcaldy.
Councillor Brian Goodall, Chair of the Housing & Communities Committee, said it was great to see the first Future of Leisure facility open.
He said: “The next chapter in the history of the Carnegie Leisure Centre has begun.
“I can’t wait for the community to get inside and have a look around. They’ll not believe their eyes because Carnegie has been completely transformed.
“I’d encourage everyone to take a tour of their new leisure centre and see for themselves the standard and wealth of facilities on offer. I’m proud that the council has been able to improve access to sport and leisure by delivering such a fantastic, high quality, facility for the community now and for generations to come.”
Councillor Joe Rosiejak, Chair of the City of Dunfermline Area Committee, added: “This is a brilliant day for the City of Dunfermline and I’m delighted we can finally open the doors of the Carnegie Leisure Centre for everyone.
”We intend to organise an opening ceremony in the new year where we will officially celebrate both our new center and the wealth of sporting talent we have in the City of Dunfermline area.”
The exciting project has preserved the old whilst delivering the new to preserve the historical significance of the building.
Inside the new Carnegie Leisure Centre is a wealth of new facilities including:
* 25 metre, six lane, deck level pool with underwater moveable floor,
