A fast-growing Scottish company which built its reputation transforming office workplaces has now demonstrated it abilities in two new sectors.
Space Solutions, which has just announced record revenues of £20 million a year, has won plaudits for innovative design, which has helped reinvent hundreds of offices across the UK.
However, in a recent run of projects it’s specialist teams have overseen the design and fit out of a glamorous beauty spa and three respected restaurants.
Gary McGurk, Business Manager at Space Solutions, said: “We are growing fast and as part of our ambitions moving forward it is crucial to showcase how our expertise can be applied to any commercial premises.
“We are proud of the reputation we have earned for our work in offices, because we’ve shown time and again how this can boost staff morale and improve productivity. What we have is an incredibly talented team of architects and designers and they have risen to the challenge with these latest projects and delivered outstanding results.”
During a challenging four-month project, Space Solutions createdthe luxury new Zen Lifestyle salon in a former futon shop in Hanover Street, Edinburgh.
As one of the leading names in cosmetic and beauty therapies, Zen Lifestyle demanded a centre which combined the luxury of a five star spa, while retaining the functionality of busy city centre salon. Space Solutions handled the entire project, from inception to completion, creating a stunning venue which delighted the client.
Mr McGurk added: “It was a new challenge for us in terms of the type of premises involved. However, we were true to our principles of design excellence, effective space management and always listening to the needs of the client. The result was a resounding success.”
Those same principles also won plaudits from staff and customers at respected Edinburgh restaurant, Lancers. There the Space Solutions team completed a full re-design of the restaurant.
The thoughtful reworking remained true to the restaurant’s imperial military theme, while creating a contemporary new space, with designer furniture and a new bar area. It reopened earlier this year to rave reviews.
Elsewhere, Space Solutions also masterminded the extensive redesign of two other renowned restaurants, Voujon and Pataka, with a clear brief to refresh and reinvigorate the restaurants through best possible use of space and design.
Mr McGurk added: “The work we did for each business varied from initial conceptual design to full refurbishment and demonstrates the wide range of work we undertake for clients.
“We have such extensive experience within a wide range of cleintsthat we can work with clients on virtually any project which involves commerical property and deliver outstanding results.”
Fiona Fowley, Director of Zen Lifestyle, said: “Space Solutions came highly recommended by our property agents and they didn’t disappoint. The team really understood what we wanted and this is reflected in the finished salon which is stunning.
Badrol Hussain, owner of Lancers, added: “Space Solutions took time to understand our brief and our business. The positive reactions from customers, old and new, confirms they did a brilliant job.”
Space Solutions was founded in 1997 and is Scotland’s largest independent design and refurbishment specialist. It operates UK-wide from bases in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee and Livingstonto design, build, fit out, refurbish and relocate modern and productive business environments.
