A leading international multidisciplinary engineering consultancy has appointed a new Office Principle to oversee Scottish operations.
Having previously worked for a well-known global consultant, where he was a director and a recognised work winner, Stuart Munro is well known and respected in the Scottish property and construction market and brings a highly developed understanding and knowledge of the key industry sectors with him.
His role at Buro Happold will entail providing leadership for all operational activity within the Glasgow and Edinburgh offices and providing senior level input on the delivery and commercial performance of projects.
Munro commented on his recent appointment saying he was delighted to be involved with Buro Happold in Scotland.
He added: "They’re renowned within our industry as being a highly creative engineering consultancy and are at the leading edge of technical excellence. I'm looking forward to working closely with my fellow principals to manage and grow our business in Northern Europe and to lead our project teams to produce positive results for our clients and our people."
Managing director for Buro Happold's Northern Europe region, Simon Wainwright, said: "We are delighted that Stuart has joined us. He has worked in the Scottish Market for many years and brings a great deal of experience and knowledge to our business. I am extremely pleased to be working with Stuart as he joins the Northern Europe Regional Board and look forward to his contribution across the region."
Munro's appointment allows colleague Rod Manson to develop and focus on Buro Happold's Scandinavian business.
Munro is a Chartered Engineer to profession and an approved certifier of design (Building Structures) for the SER Ltd scheme in Scotland.
