One of the largest privately-owned housebuilders in operation in the UK today has just received two prestigious industry awards.
Miller Homes won the 'Multi-storey Builder' and 'Large Builder' categories in the Scottish regional awards at the NHBC Pride in the Job Awards last week.
Project manager at Varcity South, Scott Brown, who has over 25 years' experience working in the building industry, won the title of Scottish regional winner in the 'Multi-storey Builder' category.
He was praised for his professionalism, creativity and expertise in his work on Varcity South, Miller Homes' flagship development in the Fettes area of Edinburgh.
This marks his second consecutive regional title and fourth Pride in the Job Quality Award.
Also winning his second consecutive Scottish regional title, site manager at Doune Riggs, Pat Malyn, scooped the top award in the 'Large Builder' category for the insight, best practice and high standards he has brought to the project.
This award follows on from the development's win at the Herald Property Awards, where it won the highly-coveted accolade of Best Show Home (under 1800 sq. ft.) for the stylish four bedroom Humber property.
Also recognised were Miller Homes' site manager at Regents Park, Crossgates, Jim Martin, and site manager at Ferryfields, Stephen Duffy, who won Quality Awards in the first round of the NHBC Pride in the Job Awards.
Construction director for Miller Homes Scotland East, James Boyle, remarked: "This is a fantastic achievement for Scott, Pat and their teams, recognising the importance and commitment to ensuring the highest quality standards and ensuring their sites are safe places to work.
"Homebuyers can be confident that when they buy a Miller Home they will get a superior, affordable home. That's down to Scott and Pat who make that happen in every home we build."
