A community planning group is to take to the road next week with an aim to make community planning more accessible through mobile meetings.
The Garioch Community Planning Group will be at the Bennachie Leisure Centre, Insch between 10am and 12noon and will include representatives from the council and emergency services as well as community groups and voluntary organisations. Aberdeenshire Community Planning Partnership Chair, Councillor Anne Robertson, said: "The Garioch group is going out to the heart of communities in the area to find out about issues that matter most to people's daily lives.
"If you want to ask about services in your area from health or social care to the leisure facilities you use or maybe you want to know more about community planning, then take advantage of these roadshows and attend a meeting near you."
Chairman of Garioch Area Committee Councillor, Martin Kitts-Hayes added: "It is important that organisations such as the council and its partners in community planning fully involve people in what it is they do.
"The Garioch Community Planning Group's ambition to take to the road is an excellent idea that will further engage people in the work of the group and I encourage people to take time to meet them."
The Community Association, Friends of Insch Hospital and Bennachie Leisure Centre will give presentations on activities such as the Meadows Environmental Project; hanging baskets; Insch Has Got Talent; a proposed new health hub and the future development of the Leisure Centre.
