First New Homes Completed In Saltcoats

The first homes have been completed at the Canal View, Saltcoats, new build development.

The development provides a total of 40 houses and flats for rent.

The first keys to be handed over to new tenants were for two bespoke ground floor wheelchair designed properties.

A key handover ceremony took place to mark the occasion and was attended by Provost of North Ayrshire, Councillor Pat McPhee.

Councillor McPhee said: "I am delighted to welcome Louise McDougall and her family into their new home. The property is one of two within the new £4.3m Cunninghame Housing Association development specially designed for wheelchair users like Elliot. I am sure that the whole family will be delighted by their new home - designed in partnership with the Council's Social Services.

We would also like to extend our best wishes to Louise and her family and hope that they enjoy living in the association's new Canal View estate."
