A leading Scottish construction firm has been awarded two contracts worth £5 million to deliver gas servicing and maintenance service for Sanctuary Scotland Housing Association and Sanctuary Cumbernauld.
City Building is one of Scotland's largest construction companies carrying out over 500,000 repairs every year.
Over 3,000 homes across Central Scotland will be covered as part of the repairs and maintenance contract worth up to £1.5 million a year and the Three Star gas contract worth up to £350,000 a year.
The contracts are for a minimum of three years and will see City Building extend its reach across the Central Belt, covering properties from Linwood to Edinburgh.
Managing director of City Building, Willie Docherty, said: "We are absolutely delighted to announce this major contract with Sanctuary. City Building has developed an excellent and hard-earned reputation as a leading player in the fields of gas services and property maintenance and this latest win reinforces our impressive track record in these areas.
"As part of this contract we will expand our reach by delivering these services across the Central Belt. We share a common social ethos with Sanctuary and look forward to building our relationship with the housing provider even further in the future."
The director of Sanctuary in Scotland, Gordon Laurie, added: "As one of the country's leading housing providers the needs of our residents are our main priority. These new contracts highlight this dedication and we are pleased to have City Building on board. The company’s expertise in gas, repairs and maintenance made them the perfect choice for this important work."
