Scott Group Appoints New Group Board Director

The recently re-branded Scott Group has appointed a new Group Board Director.

Robert Maclean aims to focus on e-commerce development, property and will be supporting and assisting in acquisition activities, in order to further expand and develop each division in line with the Scott Group's ambitious strategy, effective from September.

Group Operations Director, Norman Scott, commented: "We're delighted to be welcoming Robert to the business. He brings a wealth of legal expertise and considerable commercial experience to the board and will be a valuable support across many areas of the business."

Maclean stated: "I'm joining the business at a really exciting time following the re-brand. There are great opportunities on the horizon for the Scott Group and I'm looking forward to the challenges ahead and being instrumental in shaping the business for further growth."

Founded in 1987 the Scott Group has grown considerably over the past 20 years through numerous strategic acquisitions and organic growth across the UK and in to Europe. Now employing over 1000 people UK-wide, the company has gone on to become the UK's market leading and largest pallet supplier, the fastest growing packaging provider and a leading supplier of essential trade supplies such as tools, work wear and corporate clothing. Most recently the Group launched a commercial insurance service under the Scott Direct brand.
