A recent upturn in business has brought nine new faces to the growing team at Aberdeen’s Aiken Group.

The 24-year-old company already employs 52 staff at its Aberdeen headquarters, plus around 100 contractors worldwide.

The new staff have been taken on as part of an ongoing recruitment drive to meet the needs of the expanding company.

Key areas of growth in UK and global markets include offshore accommodation upgrades, repeat business for new modular builds, upgrading of clients’ modular units, offshore door and window maintenance, integrity testing, plumbing, E&I, HVAC and refrigeration and facilities management business.


Samantha Milne joins the company as receptionist/administrator while Mathew Loggie becomes stock controller co-ordinator and Mike Bradford is employed as project engineer.

Eric Anderson has been appointed project manager E&I and process solutions whilst Daniel Wright has started as a trainee CAD draughtsman, Lee Porteous their new CAD draughtsman and Lee Wood has been taken on as company accountant.

In addition, Aiken Group recently hosted Jack Florence and Jordon Fenwick on 13-week work placements in the warehouse and workshop facilities through Foyer Works, Aberdeen. And, such was the success of the venture, that both have been offered full-time employment with the company.
