Representatives from a Scottish manufacturing company will be attending a prestigious Asian oil and gas conference later this week.
LFH Engineering managing director Les Hill and chairman Neil McArthur will be attending Oil and Gas Asia 2011, which is taking place in Kuala Lumpar from June 1 – 3.
The 13th Asian oil, gas and petrochemical engineering exhibition, which will be held in the Kuala Lumpar Convention Centre, has established itself as the region’s primary oil and gas show attracting companies from more than 50 countries worldwide.
The visit marks the start of a demanding year two customer and marketing travel plan for the company, which will see representatives from LFH Engineering, which was established in April last year, visit existing and potential clients in 14 countries.
Managing Director Les Hill believes that the coming months will prove to be instrumental in shaping the company’s future.
He said: “We have experienced an extremely promising first year in business and we felt, as a team, that it was the ideal time to cement this success by showing our commitment to our expanding international base of clients.
“During our initial trip, as well as attending OGA 2011, we will be visiting Singapore to interview a number of prospective agents with a view to progressing our presence in the Far Eastern sector. We will also be in Australia for a period of time, visiting a number of new clients.
“This is undoubtedly a big step for a company, but one which we feel is very important to take at this stage in LFH Engineering’s growth. With the help and support of Scottish Development International we aim to visit 14 countries throughout North America and Europe over the next year as a key part of our strategic plan to increase our international customer base.”
LFH Engineering has experienced a very promising opening twelve months in business, with expansion beyond initial projections –including sales of over £2.5million exceeding initial forecasts and increasing its workforce from 25 to 32 employees.
LFH Engineering is based at Castlepark Industrial Estate, Ellon. Accredited as an approved member of the British Pump Manufacturing Association (BPMA) the company has an impressive client list including Rolls Royce, MAN Diesel and Caterpillar.
