Property Consultancy Knight Frank has appointed Andrew Forrest as partner within the firm’s building consultancy team.
Andrew joins Knight Frank from PMP Building Consultancy Ltd, where he was director of building surveying, establishing the firm’s Glasgow office in 2002 and heading-up the building surveying department.
Prior to this he worked as an associate at Ryden and also held posts at James Clark & Partners and Glasgow City Council’s estates department.
During his impressive career spanning over 20 years, Andrew has worked on a diverse caseload of project management and monitoring, contract administration and other professional work over many high profile new schemes.
Notable projects include the project management of a new £2.2 million business incubator unit in Livingston and a £1.4 million office redevelopment at the former Venue Studios in Edinburgh.
He has also been involved in the design and contract administration of new build industrial units in Kilmory Industrial Estate, Lochgilphead and an £850,000 scheme to redevelop an existing facility to form new industrial units at the former Ethicon site at Bankhead, Edinburgh.
Andrew has undertaken several high profile fund monitoring instructions on residential and commercial developments up to £12.5 million including numerous residential developments in Glasgow’s West End together with work at Machrihanish Dunes, Kintyre and The Hub in Glasgow’s digital media quarter.
In his new role at Knight Frank, Andrew will lead the building consultancy team in Glasgow to deliver a range of services to clients across the west of Scotland. He will work alongside the firm’s building consultancy teams in Aberdeen and Edinburgh.
