The biggest East Lothian Council house building project since the 1970s – 100 new homes at Muirpark Wynd, Tranent – is rapidly taking shape.

The Muirpark site features 16 two-bedroom flats, 17 two-bedroom houses including two wheelchair accessible bungalows and 67 three bedroom houses.


The site has been designed using ‘home zones’ principles, which means that it has been designed to manage the safe movement of vehicles alongside cyclists and pedestrians. There are also many small areas of open space, a central green and a football pitch area.

The first phase of homes on the site is expected to be completed and tenants will be moving in this summer.
