An Aberdeen hairdresser has undergone a major £200,000 refurbishment to help its already well-established salon cope with an increase in demand.
Ispiro Estetica Hair and Beauty in the city’s Schoolhill has appointed eight new staff over the last twelve months, including five stylists.
The dramatic three-storey refurbishment has transformed the hairdressers in the city’s Schoolhill into a more modern setting.
The project has made the salon one of the biggest in Aberdeen, with a total floor space of almost 4500 square feet.
Ispiro opened its doors in 1998 after Italian-born Federico Berton bought the salon with his Aberdonian wife Kerry.
“I believe there will be a revival of the economy in 2011 and this investment is an ideal way to take an advantage of it. Business can only get better if you invest properly in your company and this will also be to the benefit of our loyal clients. We have an equal partnership with them; the more we invest on our clients, the more they will invest in us.
“The refurbishment has given the salon interior a complete overhaul. I wanted to reorganise our working practice to accommodate our new members of staff, modernise and make better use of space to create a contemporary, professional and friendly setting for our extensive range of hair and beauty treatments,” said Federico.
“I’m looking forward to appointing more staff this year as we will continue to expand in the future.”
