Ivanhoe Cambridge has awarded Sutton Group FM the mechanical and engineering contract for Glasgow’s St. Enoch Centre.
The contract commenced on January 1st 2011 with the facilities management firm providing specialist maintenance to one of the city’s leading shopping destinations.
A team of three resident engineers supported by Sutton Group FM’s local team of ten mobile engineers and specialist sub-contractors will work on-site at St. Enoch to provide the planned upgrades.
St. Enoch has recently undergone a £150M transformation which has seen the arrival of a host of well-known brand names and retailers to the Centre, including Hamleys, Cult, Fossil and Fenchurch, resulting in record footfall levels and increased customer spending.
Colin Merryweather, Managing Director, Sutton Group FM, said: “It is with great pleasure that Sutton Group FM announce the award of the M&E contract for St. Enoch Centre in Glasgow. This is the first contract awarded to Sutton Group FM by Ivanhoe Cambridge and is part of St. Enoch’s continuing service delivery improvements.
“Providing the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering maintenance to St. Enoch Centre is not only a prestigious contract award for Sutton Group FM, but will provide greater visibility for our organisation in Scotland, to both promote our new brand, but also and more importantly, to deliver a first class service to our clients.
“In an industry where corporate organisations have in the past eclipsed the smaller companies, our aim at Sutton Group FM is to provide a national service standard, but with a local service delivery and with that personal touch.
“This opportunity is just another step forward in the development of Sutton Group FM, especially in Scotland and is a credit to all involved in the company. Our commitment to St. Enoch Centre and Ivanhoe Cambridge has been made; we have the right team to deliver the required services; but above all, we are very proud to have been awarded this contract, which we hope to be the first of many.”
Susan Nicol, General Manager of St. Enoch Centre, said: “We are delighted to announce that Sutton Group FM have been awarded the M&E contract for the Centre and with their support we will continue to provide a first-class retail destination for shoppers.
“This has been a fantastic year for St. Enoch and our £150M transformation has been a huge success bringing increased value and choice to customers while boosting Glasgow’s position on the retail map.”
