A water quality engineering firm has been celebrating following a glowing review of its management systems by a top industry auditor.
Panton McLeod was audited by Achilles UVDB (Utilities Vendor DataBase), which revealed that its management and site processes were both significantly higher than the majority of other companies in the water industry.
Achilles UVDB is a third party assessment verification used to independently compare companies against their peer groups. The results are used by Panton McLeod’s clients to assess the firm on its Health, Safety, Environment, & Quality standards and compare the results against its competitors in the water sector.
The review showed that Panton McLeod had significantly raised its scores since its last audit in 2008 - achieving 12.67% above the industry average for its Management Evaluation Systems, while its site processes and procedures were 8.53% above the industry average.
Gary Flockhart, Panton McLeod’s SHEQ Manager, said: “We are very pleased with these latest UVDB scores. It is an independent assessment of our management and SHEQ practices, and the results are compared against those of our competitors - so it’s important to aim as high as possible.
“These scores clearly show that we’ve improved on the levels we achieved in 2008 which is a testament to the hard work of our management team. They have shown a firm commitment to continuously improving Panton McLeod’s management systems, which has led to continued operational success across the whole company.
“Our results are significantly higher than the industry average for the sector, which is a tremendous achievement and one that we are very proud of. We are committed to maintaining these high standards in the future and growing our reputation further in the UK water industry.”
Scottish Borders-based Panton McLeod is the UK’s leading provider of cleaning, inspection and repair services to the water industry, and works with some of the biggest names in the sector – including utility giants such as Scottish Water and Severn Trent Water.
