One of Scotland's leading workplace design firms, Space Solutions, has announced a major re-structuring of its key Edinburgh division to increase its influence across the Central Belt.
Space Solutions is expanding its team at the capital's Beaverbank Business Park as part of a wider strategy designed to strengthen the business throughout Scotland in the coming year.
The move follows impressive results and growth recorded by Space Solutions throughout 2009-2010, which has culminated in the firm rising 119 places to 70th on the prestigious Insider SME 300 list - and a projected 10% rise in annual turnover by the end of 2010.
Under the re-structure, the Edinburgh division will now be run by Business Manager Gary McGurk and Design Director Gordon Roy who will lead the 16 strong team through all of Space Solutions’ ongoing workplace design and management projects.
As part of the re-structuring, the firm has also appointed a new business development manager Douglas Macmillan to identify and develop new contracts across Edinburgh and the Lothians.
Space Solutions' director Derek Binnie said: "This is an important move for the company and one that we have been planning for some time. The new Edinburgh team under Gary and Roy will not only help us strengthen our business , but should allow us to expand our influence across central Scotland.
"We're also very happy to have Doug on-board in our Edinburgh division and we view his appointment as a great asset for Space Solutions.
"There are very few firms in the property sector that are investing in their staff or expanding their business in the current economic climate. We're happy to be bucking this trend and showing that it is possible to look to drive business growth even during a recession."
Space Solutions is one of Scotland's biggest independent expert in helping businesses manage changes within the workplace.
It operates UK-wide - from bases in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee and Livingston - to design, build, fit out, refurbish and relocate modern and productive business environments.
