Sisk opened its Glasgow office in June to serve the Scotland region and is working on contracts to the value of £30m including the recently completed citizenM modular-built hotel in Glasgow.
Gavin Currie has joined Sisk as Area Manager for the Scotland region.
He will focus on delivering existing projects and developing the Scotland business for Sisk in its core areas including the hotel & leisure, office, industrial and retail, sectors.
Previously, Gavin was at Miller Construction and oversaw the completion of the £120m Elements Shopping Centre in Livingston. Prior to this he worked for Laing on landmark projects including the Millennium Dome and Dynamic Earth Edinburgh.
Gerry Gallacher has joined Sisk as Commercial Manager for the Scotland region and brings 25 years of experience, most recently holding the post of Infrastructure Development Director for Lend Lease on the completed £200m Olympic Village infrastructure works.
He has also held Director level roles at Skanska and Balfour Beatty. Gerry will support Gavin in new business development and management of existing client relationships in the region.
Together, they bring a wealth of client experience and are working on a number of contracts, with current activities including the delivery of a £13.5m fit out project for a new warehouse and office facility for Co-operative Retail Ltd.
Gavin Currie, Scotland Area Manager, Sisk said: “The Scotland region is a real area of recent growth for Sisk and in the three months since the office has opened, it has benefited from leveraging the expertise and capability within Sisk from the rest of the UK and Ireland. It is a great opportunity to join the company at a time of significant growth in the UK and I look forward to securing further contracts in our areas of core competence.”
Gerry Gallacher, Scotland Commercial Manager, Sisk said: “As Sisk continues to drive the business into Scotland, I am excited about being a part of this region, which I believe holds considerable opportunity for growth in the coming years.”
