One of Scotland’s leading lettings portal has announced a major expansion of its quarterly reports that will provide the country’s most in-depth analysis of the rental market.
For the first time, Citylets will include rental statistics from outwith Scotland’s three biggest cities of Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen – giving a comprehensive overview of the country’s lettings sector.
The updated Citylets Quarterly Data Reports will now incorporate rental data from Fife, Paisley, Dundee, the Lothians, Greenock, Ayr and Kilmarnock.
Thomas Ashdown, the entrepreneur who set up Citylets from his kitchen table in 2000, said that the new reports would help provide the clearest-ever overview of Scotland’s rental sector.
He said: “The Citylets Quarterly Data Reports are already the most trusted indicators of how rents are performing in Scotland. For years, they have given the most in-depth analysis of the local rental markets in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow – and they are now a vital tool for landlords, letting agents and members of the media.
“However, in order to maintain this coveted position we have to ensure that these reports continue to evolve and offer the best information possible about the rental sector.
“Citylets.co.uk now contains many listings from outwith Scotland’s three largest cities, so the time is right to expand our quarterly report and incorporate data from other regions across Scotland. Therefore, our future reports will now show how the rental market is performing in areas such as Fife, Dundee, the Lothians and Ayrshire. We envisage that this additional information will not only cement our credentials as Scotland’s leading lettings portal, but also reaffirm our Quarterly Data Reports as the most comprehensive analysis of the rental sector.”
The updated Citylets Quarterly Data Reports will contain analysis from: Edinburgh; Glasgow; Aberdeen; Paisley; Dundee; Ayr; Livingston; Hamilton; Kilmarnock; Stirling; Dunfermline; Musselburgh; Irvine; Kirkcaldy; Greenock; Renfrew; Bathgate; Prestwick; Bo’ness; Johnstone; Falkirk; Newton Mearns; Bearsden; Motherwell.
www.citylets.co.uk was launched in late 1999. Its quarterly report is the country’s only detailed and independent barometer of the rental market, based on over 50,000 annual lettings from more than 400 agents and is now a respected resource among investors, landlords and letting agencies. Citylets also operates in Greater Belfast and other parts of N Ireland.
Earlier this year, the portal was also confirmed by online competitive intelligence company Experian Hitwise as the UK’s most popular dedicated residential lettings website.
