Glaswegians Take On The Titan

Two brave Glasgow women abseiled 150 feet down the city’s enormous Titan Crane and raised over £750 for Epilepsy Scotland during National Epilepsy Week.

Cumbernauld teenager Leanne Richardson (19) joined Lorna Figures (22) from Bearsden to take part and also roped in friends to show their support for Scotland’s leading epilepsy charity.

Lorna said: “It was an awesome experience. I have never tried anything this daring before but I wanted to help Epilepsy Scotland and am really pleased with how much money we’ve raised.”

The next Epilepsy Scotland abseil is on Saturday 21 August 2010. Anyone who wants to be a dare devil and “Take on the Titan” can book their place now.
