EnerMech Ltd has secured two contracts to provide safety training and assessment services.
The Aberdeen mechanical services company is carving out a reputation for providing high quality Trainer/Assessors and Safety Coaches and its personnel are in demand across the world.
Three EnerMech trainers/assessors are working with Prosafe Production in Nigeria and the Ivory Coast. In Nigeria, on board the FPSO Abo, the team has carried out scaffolding training, crane operator training/assessment, rigging and lifting courses and banksman slinger training. Similar training and assessment exercises have been carried out on the FPSO Espoir off the Ivory Coast.
Two EnerMech safety coaches have also been deployed to the Workfox BV-owned accommodation jack-up, the Seafox 7, in the Southern North Sea. Workfox BV manage and operate accommodation and multi-support units on behalf of owners at offshore exploration sites around the world.
Safety coaches are responsible for ensuring that all company safety procedures are followed and will challenge personnel to achieve good working practices and behaviour. Coaching is undertaken to minimise the potential of human error and to reduce the risk of incident or injury.
Phil Caton, EnerMech’s general manager for training, said: "Safety coaches are beginning to play a major role in the oil and gas industry in encouraging best safety practice and getting individuals to take responsibility for their actions and to look out for the safety of others.
"EnerMech safety coaches are in demand because of the unique skill-set they possess. With many years of experience working in the oil and gas industry they are now passing on this knowledge to others to promote a good safety culture at all work locations.
"These latest contracts with Prosafe Production and Workfox BV underline the quality of safety coaching provided by EnerMech."
