Ryden and Jones Lang LaSalle have secured two tenants at Westport 102, their client's 95,000 sq ft Grade A office development in the heart of Edinburgh's central business district.
Lettings have been secured with supermarket chain Sainsbury’s and leading independent merchant bank Quayle Munro.
Sainsbury’s (represented by Savills) has taken 4,700 sq ft within the ground floor on a 15-year lease with a break at year 10.
Jim Bishop, Regional Acquisition’s director for Sainsbury's, stated: "We are delighted to open another store in Scotland and to continue our expansion north of the border."
Peter I’Anson, partner at letting agent Ryden, added: "We're delighted to have secured Sainsbury’s, as the retailer brings a new amenity to Westport 102 and also to the general location."
Quayle Munro signed a 10-year lease for 4,653 sq ft on the 6th floor, providing the firm with an unrivalled outlook of the city.
Rob Cormie of Quayle Munro said: "Our move from Charlotte Square to new, very high quality open plan office space is a further indication of the firm’s long term commitment, ambition and cultural change. We remain truly independent of thought and deed and our clients and staff can only benefit from this new direction."
Commenting on both deals, Peter I’Anson noted: "This is a fantastic start to our marketing campaign and shows that the building is already attracting the right calibre of occupier. Westport 102 not only offers flexible accommodation, but also a landlord who is prepared to understand an occupier’s needs and tailor transactions accordingly."
Office suites from 5,000 sq ft up to 85,000 sq ft remain available at Westport 102.
