Award-winning architectural design specialist JAMstudio has completed projects valued at a total of £150,000 for two Aberdeen businesses.
Global Pipe Components, a leading supplier to the oil and gas industry, has increased office space by utilising the first-floor of its premises at the Spires Business Units, Mugiemoss Road, Bucksburn.
The company, which has 11 staff, now has a purpose-built boardroom, three offices, kitchen area and the capacity to double its workforce. The office space has increased from 1,500 sq ft to 3,000 sq ft.
JAMstudio has also completed a contract to design and fit-out the new Union Street offices of Aberdeen mediation and employment law specialist Lili Hunter Consulting Limited. The transformation from virtually derelict building to bold, bright office space was completed in just eight weeks.
JAMstudio Director Marie-Louise Dunk said: "Both projects were extremely rewarding to work on. The first floor of Global Pipe Components’ office was a shell. It required partitions, lighting, fittings, furniture and floor coverings.
"We worked closely with the client at the design stage and throughout the project to deliver a fit-for-purpose and vibrant working environment.
"For Lili Hunter’s office we used her corporate colours to create a bold and dramatic office space that reflects the business owner’s personality."
Richard Meldrum, Managing Director of Global Pipe Components, said: "The transformation into a high-specification working environment has been remarkable.
"I'm delighted with the outcome of the project. The JAMstudio team were
creative and extremely professional from the outset. The result means we can now push on with plans to grow and develop the business."
Global Pipe Components is a stockist and supplier of pipeline products for the oil and gas industry. The company specialises in the fastrack supply of a range of products including valves, pipe, fittings, flanges, studbolts, hubs, clamps and gaskets.
Lili Hunter is delighted with her new-look office. She said: "I was impressed with JAMstudio’s dedication and professionalism. What they have done for us is way beyond what I imagined was feasible. I appreciated Marie-Louise’s bold approach and I felt we were on the same wavelength from the beginning."
The Global Pipe Components and Lili Hunter projects are the latest in a series of successes for the Fetternear-based architectural design consultancy.
In September, JAMstudio collected the Socially Responsible Company of the Year Award at the Northern Star Business Awards, the flagship event of Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce.
The company was given the honour in recognition of its leading role in the refurbishment of community facilities at Peterhead’s Harvest Community Church.
JAMstudio offers residential and commercial architectural design services, workplace design and independent space planning advice. In the last six years, it has designed and delivered on projects worth more than £40 million and is currently working on 20 live projects.
As well as architectural projects, JAMstudio is developing a reputation for its one-stop office design and fit-out services and expects to announce further contract wins in the next few weeks.
