Aberdeen-based Knight Property Group, Scotland's Developer of the Year, has invested £3 million in a speculative industrial unit at the Minto Commercial Park, Altens.
Construction of the two storey unit, which comprises 4,000sq.ft of offices, 10,000sq.ft of workshop and 15,470 sq.ft of concrete yard space is well underway and will be completed in April 2010.
Existing occupiers of the Park include; iicorr, Active Sustainable Energy Systems, Denholm Oilfield Services, Aberdeen Valve Supplies Limited (AVS) and LHR Marine.
Howard Crawshaw director of Knight Property Group said: "In light of the economic challenges still facing the commercial property industry we are fortunate to be in a position where speculative builds such as this still play a part of our portfolio.
"Minto Commercial Park has proven an extremely successful project for Knight, and once this unit is complete only 2.22 acres will remain for development."
The letting/sale of this property is being handled by leasing agents Graham and Sibbald.
John McHardy, chartered surveyor at Graham and Sibbald said: "Within the last six months we have secured new lettings on Minto Commercial Park to Aberdeen Valve Supplies Limited and LHR Marine, demonstrating that Knight Property Group’s quality accommodation meets the requirements of occupiers in the current market.
"Any business looking to expand or upgrade their accommodation, should contact us to see if we can help assist them with their requirements."
Established in Aberdeen, Scotland in 1987, Knight Property Group provides a complete range of property investment and development services. The company has extensive experience in the design and build of new facilities and the refurbishment and upgrading of existing properties.
