A commercial electrical contractor from Northern Ireland has completed a £450,000 fit out for retail toy giant, Hamleys.
Premier Electrics delivered its part of the Hamleys store in Glasgow's Enoch Centre on time for its pre-Christmas opening.
The extensive electrical project took a 16 man team from Premier five weeks to complete.
Premier Electrics manager, Tony Shivers, said challenges included interpreting the client's complex design requirements as well as liaising with the shopping centre to enable the integration of the store’s alarm and security systems.
"Our team have worked throughout Europe this year on a range of projects but for many of them Hamleys is a favourite," he said.
"It's not every day you get to work on a retail scheme that includes disco lights, a juke box, a revolving bear, safari jeeps and climbing trees."
Premier Managing Director, Mark Scullion says the association of the Premier brand with Hamleys is a major coup for the local company.
"We have had the privilege of working with many of the UK's top brands in recent years as our business has developed, but I think it’s fair to say this association will further enhance our growing reputation as a major commercial electrical contracting player."
Hamleys' Glasgow store manager, Samantha Connolly, commended the company.
"The illuminated bus is a feature which we installed into our Glasgow store and which was brought over from the House of Frazer in Belfast.
"With our ease of access and the current strength of the euro, we're positioned as a great destination for day shoppers from both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland alike this Christmas, and we'd like to keep building on our strong commercial links in the future."
