The Mctavish Ramsay Group has accquired Doors by Design.
The group gained the businesses' soft and hard assets after Doors by Design was liquidated by the administrator in October.
The Doors by Design business has now been integrated with Mctavish Ramsay Group and has its own trading division known as 'DbD Doors and Doorsets'.
They now claim to be Scotland's largest producer and supplier of Architectural Doors and Doorsets with an increased group of products that include the following ranges:
• Veneered flush
• Inlay wood veneer
• Laminated flush
• MDF Paint grade flush
• Fire doors – FD30, FD60, FD90 & FD120
• Acoustic
• X-ray
• Screens
• Internal & Entrance Doorsets using frame section in softwoods, hardwoods, veneer wrap and moisture resistant MDF. In addition door sets are available for 'Secure by Design' projects.
Doors can be manufactured in a range of core that includes Severe Duty 630kg3 density particleboard, flax-board, timber laminate and SK3 acoustic.
The combined business knowledge and skills complement each other to give the market-place a larger and stronger producer offer of fine quality veneered and laminated doors and doorsets.
This integration will enable them to provide clients with reduced lead times, more competitive prices and an improvement on our product range with the combination of both standard and non standard, as well as special types of doors and door sets.
