Principal Designer
SMS Alba Ltd partners with Architects to become the Principal Designer. The vast majority construction projects that SMS Alba Ltd has already completed is for Domestic and Small Business clients.
We have the technical knowledge of the construction industry relevant to any project with the ability to understand, manage and coordinate the pre-construction phase and carry out CDM compliance audits throughout the construction phase to ensure compliance of current regulations.
Site Inspections
We carry out site inspections on behalf of Principal Contractors and Sub-Contractors to produce a report that assists in the compliance of all relevant regulations.
CDM Site Services
Principal Designers, Principal Contractors and Clients will need a support mechanism in place to meet their obligations under the new CDM 2015 regulations. All of you will get the support you need from SMS Alba Ltd as we give due consideration to the health and safety of those who build and maintain the structure. You will save time because SMS Alba Ltd will ensure that you become and remain compliant under the new regulations, so that CDM duty holders can focus on their primary roles.
Fire Risk Assessment
When carried out properly, a Fire Risk Assessment will identify the potential risks for a fire in your premises and create a plan of action for reducing that risk. With our specialist knowledge and experience you’re not only reducing the likelihood of a fire, but you’re reducing the potential risk to life, injury to employees and damage it could cause to your premises, in turn, reducing your insurance and legal costs
Fire Safety Training
The Fire Safety (Scotland) Act 2006 states that you must provide training for your employees, relevant to their situation. We can provide a range of fire safety training courses tailored specifically to your business and your premises. These can be carried out on or off-site. Our training courses are designed and delivered by our fire safety consultants who have many years of direct experience in fire safety management and training.
