Partition Walls
Metal Partition Walls are a fast and economical solution to providing a partition within any building. Being of a dry construction, erection of the walls are much quicker than that of wet trades and cost savings of over 20% can be achieved.

The design of the Metal Partition Wall can be tailored to suit your specific requirement. Using a combination of the various types of plasterboard and insulations available we can construct a wall that can provide fire, moisture, sound, thermal and impact resistance.

We can also provide either a Tape and Jointed (Drylined) or a plastered skim finish to your wall. Tape and Jointing gives a smooth joint between each sheet of plasterboard and leaves the wall ready for decoration, this is particularly advantageous as it speeds up the time required before decoration can begin. A skimmed coat of finishing plaster, normally 5mm thick is also an option that is commonly used, especially where the reduction of dust is to be kept to a minimum.

Suspended Ceilings
Suspended ceilings are generally split into two main types.

• MF Plasterboard Ceilings
  MF Plasterboard ceilings are a ceiling that is suspended from a metal framework with a layer or layers of plasterboard to form the finished surface. This gives flexibility in designing your ceiling to specific performance criteria, e.g. if you need to achieve a certain dB rating or you need the ceiling have a specific fire resistance. This type of ceiling also allows you to construct bulkheads to form a great variety of design features, some of the possibilities can be seen here.


• Tiled Suspended Ceilings
  Here a ceiling tile sits in a metal grid which can be exposed or hidden, and are usually suspended by high tensile strength wires. This option has the advantage that a tile can easily be removed to give access to the ceiling void, allowing for easy maintenance and repair of the services within. The tiles available are generally made of either a compressed mineral fibre, wood veneer or a PVC veneered plasterboard. There is a wide selection of manufactures all offering various performance specifications, styles and sizes to suit any application.

Insulation
Insulation is becoming a key component within a building’s design as we try to reduce the carbon footprint of buildings and lower Life Cycle Costs. Insulation can also be utilized to help control the passage of sound within a building. GMG Drywall can provide any specification of insulation required and due to our expertise and experience in this area we can provide advice on product selection and application.

Joinery
GMG Drywall can also offer to include the joinery package within our scope of works. We have an experienced team of joiners and have access to some of the best Specialist Joinery workshops in the UK and Ireland, supplying and installing all joinery work from fire doors to specialist bespoke installations.

Their highly experience technical team of structural engineers will produce detailed designs which are covered by their Professional Indemnity Insurance.
