inbrass.co.uk is the online trading name of Edina Lock & Key Co Ltd. we are a Family based Company and an Independent Retailer Established in the centre of Edinburgh's Georgian New Town for over 30 years, our experience in selling quality architectural ironmongery and brassware is second to none. We specialise in reproduction period door knobs, sash window furniture and front door fittings - much of which is made exclusively for us.

Our Family and Independent retail business was founded in February 1983 and our first premises were situated in the heart of Stockbridge at Glanville Place in Edinburgh as a locksmithing and keycutting shop with a few hardware fittings.

Product Sections


Demand for architectural fittings grew quickly - particularly front door furniture - as a consequence of this our range of door and window fittings range increased dramatically, with many our our own commissioned traditional and period window and door fittings being added to our stock holding, whilst at the same time still retaining the original locksmithing heritage.

In 1999 our business having seen an increase in demand for many of our products it was necessary to move to the current larger retail premises and showroom in Brandon Terrace to accommodate both the locksmithing and architectural ironmongery sides of the business

Over the years we have forged close links with many architects and designers interested in Edinburgh's Georgian and Victorian heritage who require authentic fittings for their projects and we are proud to have provided much to properties owned and cared for by Historic Scotland and the National Trust for Scotland who are happy to rely on our expertise.
