Windcatchers
Located on the roof, WINDCATCHERS provide fresh air for the rooms below whilst expelling hot, stale air. These usually include: Gymnasiums/Sports Halls, Computer Rooms and Generic Classrooms. However, WINDCATCHERS can be placed anywhere throughout the building, and placement is down to the discretion of the architect.

Maintenance
It is important to keep WINDCATCHERS well maintained and clean, as dirt, grit, insects and bird feathers can build up inside, which can either fall down into the room below or, worse, cause the them to stick and eventually malfunction. During our service visits we will remove all foreign objects to ensure that your systems will continue working efficiently.

Programming
The control panel provides a setting for all seasons, and it also ensures that night-time cooling only occurs during summer months when natural ventilation is needed most. During our service and maintenance visits Vent Clean will check and, if required, re-calibrate the control panel to ensure working correctly.

Netting Service
WINDCATCHERS provide a clean, cool, fresh air supply. However, from time to time water and snow can enter during adverse weather which can blow down and damage the ceiling and internal grill. To prevent this occurring, Vent Clean Group use a purpose-made fibreglass netting sheath which has proven to be the most effective to stand up to the harsh winters and rain fall. Most importantly, this process does nothing to inhibit air flow, and does not impact on the efficiency of the WINDCATCHER.

Vent Clean Group offer a 10 year guarantee on the netting service it provides, covering both fitting and durability of the netting, providing a service contract is in place.
