About RBT Underfloor Limited
RBT Underfloor Limited T/A Robot Underfloor Heating was setup in Inverness in 2014 as a direct supplier to the Underfloor Heating industry. We are a privately owned company and have just moved into new premises in Dingwall that has allowed us to double our floor area for stock.
Robot has been a producer of underfloor heating manifolds in Holland since 1988. Since the company's foundation, a great number of innovative developments have taken place. The manifolds produced are of very high quality and very compact, thanks to the specially designed composite pump housing, this pumped manifold is supplied from 1-16 groups long, a USP that no-one else offers. Robot also manufacture and supply a very high quality stainless steel manifold that can be up to 19 groups long.
What we do
We offer supply, design & installation of underfloor heating systems. Each of our underfloor heating systems will include a full colour CAD drawing showing zone layouts, manifold position as well as room stat positions. We can complete any size of install, which can include insulation and screed, or retro fit systems if required. See our recent work link below for everything from houses to schools.
All underfloor heating system will also include the required wiring diagram for the room stats and wiring centre and controls provided.
What is Underfloor Heating?
The heat produced from Underfloor heating comprises of 70% radiant Heat and 30% convection heat. Conventional systems, i.e. radiators, mainly provide convection heat which circulates through the air that surrounds objects in a building. Radiant heat, heats objects & the general fabric of the building, including people, just like the sun heats objects on the earth's surface.
Underfloor heating eliminates uncomfortable hot or cold air flows around a room and gives even comfortable heating. The warmest part of the room is next to the floor, not the ceiling. Floor heating is as close as you can get to the ideal heating curve.

Underfloor heating controls
- Heatmiser
Robot Underfloor Heating systems work especially well when integrated with Heatmiser control systems. The Heatmiser Neo Air provides wireless alternative room stats which can be accessed from the stat or from an app on your phone giving you complete freedom to operate the system anywhere you have internet access. The Heatmiser brand is our No.1 requested system and we fully recommend it when considering future proofing your new underfloor heating system. - Danfoss Controls
As well as our Heatmiser controls we also offer a danfoss option. All of our danfoss systems come with a central wiring centre, hard wired room stat, room stats with air sensors for bathrooms. These are also available as BMS standard for commercial use, i.e. schools, colleges, local authority etc.
The standard danfoss wiring center FH-WC is an eight zone floor heating wiring centre for use in systems having hard wired room thermostats. In addition to providing a structured wiring system for zone thermostats and associated thermal actuators, the FH-WC also incorporates two voltage free heat demand relays that are activated when one or more zones call for heat.
