Deeside Interiors

What was supposed to be our dream kitchen turned out to be a disaster! We went local, thinking we were doing the right thing. The design ideas and style were perfect.
Then it went downhill...
Shame on me for not reading the small print, but the morning of the installation, I had to drive home from work and pay 90% before they would start the installation. BIG MISTAKE.
The quality of the installation was/is shocking!
Our long worktop was supplied in two pieces, not because you can’t get it longer, but it’s easier to break - and when they installed it, the levels don’t quite match.
Where they cut the top for the hob, they destroyed the back board of the unit below “don’t worry, you can’t see it, it’s behind drawers”
The ovens were skew (because the unit is skew) “it’s because you did the electrical work yourself, you fitted them skew”
A cupboard door was damaged and touched up with paint “it wasn’t us, I TV must have been you - but here is an open bottle of touch-up paint”
Our integrated fridge freezer packed up (not their fault) but when I removed it to replace it, I discovered that the unit had been butchered to get it to fit - they’d ordered the wrong size FF.
The list of little things could go on...
We also bought flooring from them, but after being presented with my snagging list (“you’re being ridiculous! You have OCD”) they refused to lay it!
They did supply a new cupboard door.
And they never asked for the last 10%
Avoid at all cost!

I purchased a kitchen including installation from Deeside Interiors. The quality of the kitchen units was in general OK. However, the installation method (including the design of the worktops) was for speed of installation only, not quality. The walls were not prepared prior to installing the units, Deeside Interiors did not take any responibility for repairing/preparing the walls for painting (this was part of the scope). The attitude was that as long the defects/poor workmanship was hidden or I did not notice, it was OK. I had to bring in my own workmen to sort out some of the poor workmanship as well as I had to spend a considerable time repairing the defects. Deeside also changed the plans without discussing. Aftersale service is not existing and Deeside was not approachable at all to discuss during installation or after completion. I unfortunately did accept to pay the total contract price less £1000 before the installation started. It is obvious that Deeside Interiors never expected to receive the last £1000, Deeside in fact never sent an invoice at all. Deeside has never provided the agreed warranties. I would strongly recommend not to use Deeside Interiors. I searched for reviews of Deeside Interiors prior to entering into a contract but could not find any which in itself is strange.
