AMS is Ireland’s only independently owned manufacturer of extruded aluminium profiles. Founded in 1990, it has grown from 3,500 sq. Ft to over 300,000 sq. Ft. AMS specialise in aluminium extrusion, powder coated aluminium and sheet metal fabrication as well a wide range of thermally efficient aluminium windows, door, and other commercial systems to various industries globally.
AMS have gone back to the future after installing a state of the art fully automated architectural anodising plant at our Little Island site. Sitting on over 20 acres AMS have completed the project that we have been planning for over 7 years. This installation now gives us total control over all the processes required to give the service our customers desire.

Aluminium Extrusions
AMS offer the service of extruding aluminium profile sections. We have invested heavily in state of the art extrusion facilities so, as well as extruding our own profiles, we can offer the service of design & extrusion of other aluminium profiles, not only in the facade industry, but any industry where aluminium extrusions are being used.

Aluminium Powder Coating
AMS offer a wide range of Architectural polyester powder coating finishes for the construction industry. Powder finishes are guaranteed through the ‘Qualicoat’ approved applicator scheme of which AMS is a continuing member.

Decoral Wood Finish
The Decoral system is a process of applying a wood grain effect onto aluminium profiles. This beautiful finish has all of the distinctiveness of wood and gives the customer all the aesthetic benefits of real timber with none of the maintenance costs. AMS is the only applicator of Decoral in Ireland or the UK, that is qualicoat approved, and offer a 10 year guarantee on wood grain finishes.

Thermal Breaking
AMS ‘Therm strip’ advanced thermal break process is a unique and patented system. Current patents apply in Ireland, UK, USA and Canada. The use of patented Therm strip technology with polyurethane resin (TS systems) and polyurethane foam (XT systems) allows AMS to be one of the leaders in the supply of energy efficient and sustainable systems in the world.

Weather Testing
AMS are market leaders in product testing and this is realised through our in-house test laboratory. Our test facilities provide us with great insight into system design and performance, enabling us to produce quality systems that offer high levels of air and water tightness.

Fabrication & Bending
AMS offers its fabrication partners an extensive programme of bespoke training which addresses all aspects of our product fabrication. Fabrication partners can avail of our in-house training courses in Cork or we can also deliver training sessions in your own premises.

LED Lighting Extrusions
Since it’s installation in 2011, the extrusion press has led AMS into the Lighting industry amongst others. Over the last number of years we have grown an excellent understanding of the high quality & tight tolerances that are required within the industry & the fact that we are supplying aluminium extrusions to lighting companies in Ireland, Poland, Mexico & the USA is testament to the level of service & quality the we provide our customers with.

Thermal Analysis
At AMS we have the facility of performing all thermal investigations of our systems using the latest heat transfer software from 'Physibel' Belgium. We are an approved and certified thermal simulating facility through the British Fenestration rating council.

Data centre
Aluminium extrusions in Ireland and the UK are used extensively in the construction and fit out in Data centres around the world. Ireland has a location and climate suited greatly to the construction of such buildings, and AMS are an ideally located company for anybody looking to achieve LEED or Bream certification by sourcing materials in close proximity to construction of such centres.

Logikal software
AMS offer all our customers Logikal software for pricing and fabrication. LogiKal is a complete processing and production software tool for the fenestration industry. It contains the full AMS dataset to enable the user to create their chosen glazing system for costing & production purposes.

Sheet Metal Fabrication
AMS have recently opened a precision sheet metal fabrication workshop specialising in aluminium fabrication. With over 10 years’ experience in this field we have the dedication and knowledge to cater for all our customers requirements.

NBS BIM
AMS BIM objects are now available on the NBS-BIM website, This has been a significant investment in the future of building design and construction and is in tandem with the UK BIM mandate to be at collaborative Level 2 BIM by 2016.
