Just replaced all windows in my house Service was second to noen from start to finish straight talking surveyor on day one, chap who came ot measure up for final sizes againa triple checked and discussed all areas with us and installation team were very polite hard working guys, even hoovered all carpets before that asked us to do final inspections with them.

We recently moved into our new house, an old traditional property built in 1916. The front of the house (15 windows) was wooden framed single glazing sash & case, black on the outside and white on the inside, and we were hoping to replace it with a similar window (sash & case), but with double glazing and uPVC frames. We contacted several companies, including some national widely-recognised ones, for quotes. CR Smith were unable to provide the type of window we needed, one of the others tried to push us towards standard windows disguised as sash and case, and a couple of the others came in with ridiculous quotes which they were willing to drop by up to 40% if we made a decision on the spot! The majority of the salesmen who came to our house also spent a large portion of their time bad-mouthing their competitors, which was very off-putting.

Compared to all this, Clyde Windows were an absolute dream from the outset. The chap who came out to measure the windows was incredibly courteous, polite and professional. When we received the quotes for the work, we were given three options with very clear prices. Picked the one we wanted, which exactly matched the requirements wed described.

Fitting was around 4 weeks after we agreed the price, and I cant rate the work highly enough. Shug and his team were an absolute delight - lovely guys to have in your home, very professional and SO tidy, if it wasnt for the new windows you wouldnt know theyd been there. The finish was wonderful, and the house has retained its traditional look but is now much warmer, and I can actually open the windows!

Overall I honestly cant rate Clyde Windows highly enough. They were superior in every way during the pricing process, and provided a wonderful service and product. Would strongly recommend.

Started looking for windows, fascias, soffits, gutters and a sunroom build early April 2015, with a clear understanding of what we were looking for.

Sought recommendations from family and friends, and across consumer web sites, before selecting six contractors to visit our home to price the works.

Despite ensuring we conveyed a level playing field to all bidders, we only received three similar quotes. One was extremely high, three seemingly around the same specification and price point, and two at unrealistically low prices with very little detail.

We returned to the three similar bidders in May, one of which was Clyde Windows & Construction, who helped us fully understand the features and benefits of the equipment we were buying, to satisfy ourselves that all our quotes were on a like for like basis, and we were not being mis-sold inferior products to reach a low price.

We decided to proceed with Clyde Windows & Construction by June, as not only did they offer the best quality product, at the best value, we had their assurance of one point of contact across the course of the job.
Works commenced quickly after order placement, with windows, fascias, soffits and gutters installed within a few weeks, whilst drawings were constructed and planning permission was sought for the sunroom build.

On that note, Clyde Windows took ownership of commissioning the Architect and making the planning application, where other parties proposed that we commission our own.

With planning permission in place, Clyde Windows were able to make a start on the sunroom extension. Their civil and building team arrived promptly each day, kept our home and garden tidy and the new building was quickly wind and water tight to allow their joiners, electricians and decorators continue with the internal works.

We were delighted that the build was completed by the end of November, six months from order placement.

From our very first contact with Clyde Windows they instilled our confidence, kept us informed of progress and their onward intentions. On the rare occasion where an outcome was not as we had been expecting, nothing was a problem that couldn’t be put right.

The job was delivered on schedule, and on budget, and left us with a sense of satisfaction with the end result that I’m not sure we would have achieved with other contractors.

I would return to Clyde Windows and Construction for any future Window or Building works I was considering.

Following our agreement to commence the build of our single storey 26sqm extension in June 2017, we were promptly slotted into the Clyde Windows & Construction plan of works.
They were an absolute pleasure to have on site. All staff were extremely well mannered and very very tidy.
High quality materials and tools were used during the build.
Dax and his joiners suggested a change to the window design we had agreed with our architect and we are so pleased that we opted to go along with the suggestion. The roof line windows are now a focal point admired by all visitors.
The build took around 6 weeks to complete including a couple of days delay due to a typical Scottish rainy summer.
We were so pleased with the quality of the extension that we asked the same joinery team to rip out our old kitchen and build our new Howdens kitchen.
Again, we have not been disappointed. The old kitchen was removed with great care that weve been able to sell it on. The new kitchen looks amazing and has been fitted to perfection.
We were consulted throughout the build of both the extension and kitchen, which has also enabled us to have an input.
A big thank you to Dax and David for taking on the work and a massive thank you to Darren & Andy for an exceptional work ethic. They really felt like part of the family over the summer.

We had looked at other companies for our conservatory and decided to go with Clyde Windows after discussing our requirements with Dax. He assured us his team could deliver our ideal conservatory and he was right. Our experience with Dax and his team was fantastic. Even when the weather held them back we were contacted daily with an update and as soon as the rain stopped the workmen were back on site and never stopped until the build was completed. Before going to Clyde got a few quotes from a few companies . Then after speaking to Dax decided to go a head with Clyde for my sunroom and I'm glad I did the boys started when I was told they would and completed the job quickly and too a high standard. I recently bought a conservatory from Clyde Windows and woud like to say how satisfied I am with the result. It compliments the bac k of my cottage perfecty.
Being a pensioner on a strict budget I had to be careful whom I chose for this important task.
I wasn't disappointed as the team from Dax to David and of course the rest of the guys, I found to be reliable, resourceful, and respectful of my wishes. No question or job was too big for them to answer or tackle.
I would certainly recommend them to anyone who's trying to decide whom to choose when planning on a conservatory.
